In the time I knew her, JJ claimed to be old and befuddled, and regularly proved to be the exact opposite. The year we went to see the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center, she struck me as seeming at least ten years younger than her actual age, and very energetic and outgoing; totally unlike her online persona. She spent the evening telling me stories, things I probably shouldn't know, but -- either luckily, or sadly -- most of the details have faded. We parted with tentative plans to do it again (except for the tree) when the weather got warmer, and perhaps with a larger group of people... but we never followed through. I'll tell you one thing, though: the TV show "Supergirl" never had a more devoted fan.
