Obituary for Giovanna "Jennie, Jean" Buonsante

Mrs. Jennie Buonsante entered eternal rest on Friday October 2, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was 85 years old. Jennie was born October 16, 1929 to the late Tomasso and Nascenzia Protano. She was a graduate of the Harrison School System and went on to be employed by the American Can Company and then the Bisceglia Brothers Construction Company before settling down to her full time job of wife mother and homemaker. she was also a longtime member of the Good Old Gang "G.O.G.".
Jennie was the beloved wife of John. she was the devoted mother to Jo-Anne Gaglione (John), Patricia Ljungquist, and John Buonsante Jr. (Tracy). She also leaves behind 7 loving grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, as well as 2 sisters, Antonia Protano and Alice Ruzza. two siblings, Rose Medeiros and her twin brother Thomas Protano Jr. had pre-deceased.
The Buonsante family will be receiving friends (today) Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home. The Funeral will be held on Tuesday. Mass of the Christian Burial 11 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church. Interment to follow at the Greenwood union Cemetery Rye, N.Y..
In lieu of flowers, the Buonsante family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice and Palliative care of Westchester.
