Patricia “Binky” DiFranza, 69, of Carmel, cherished wife of Nicholas DiFranza, died on Wednesday evening, February 5, 2014. Patricia was born in the Bronx, New York, September 21, 1944, a daughter of the late Michael and Marie (Bannon) Morgan. In addition to her husband, Nick of fourty-two years, Patricia is the cherished mother of Lisa Balourdos and her husband, Spiro of Poughkeepsie; Nicholas DiFranza and his wife, Carla of Highland Mills; a brother, Michael Morgan and his wife, Eileen of Dix Hills, NY; sisters Margaret Stone and her husband, Jim and Gertrude Weber all of the Bronx, NY; her loving grandsons Nicholas and Gian DiFranza as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her brothers, James and Martin Morgan and by three sisters, Frances Seiler, Marie Rocco and Catherine Ivory.
Wake services will be held on Monday, February 10, from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the
Balsamo–Cordovano Funeral Home, 15 Church Street Carmel, NY 10512. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00am at St. James the Apostle, 14 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel, NY. Memorial donations may be made to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, www.jimmyv.org
