Raymond Higgins, born July 24, 1938 in Yonkers, New York, passed away on October 1, 2022. He was a resident of Lake Carmel for more than 50 years. He married Dolores Rutyna on April 4, 1964. Raymond worked as a tractor trailer driver for Teamsters Union #807. Raymond was best known for playing the guitar in Westchester and Putnam Counties for more than twenty years with his band, Ray Higgins & the Down Yonder Boys. He entered eternal rest at home, surrounded by his loving family.


Raymond is survived by his wife of 58 years, four children, Raymond (Lori) Higgins of Poughquag, NY, Thomas (Tracy) Higgins of Morganton, NC, Tracy (Eric) Ashley of Jetmore, KS and Darren (Jaimee) Higgins of New Milford, CT as well as six grandchildren, Raymond Jr, Robert, Kelly, Eric, Andrew and Kyla and three great-grandchildren.
