Obituary for Robert A. Mascetta

Mascetta Sr. - Robert Anthony, “Bob”, passed away on July 27th at the age of 81. Bob was the beloved husband to his predeceased wife Cynthia, “Cindy”, and devoted father to his four children Robert Jr (Kelly), Christopher (Lori), Laurie (Mark) and John (Lori). “Popa” was also adored by his ten grandchildren: Stephanie, Joseph, Taylor, Sara, Caitlyn, Steven, Emma, Audrey, Owen and Henry. Bob was born on March 17, 1941 to Anthony and Ann Mascetta, and along with his two brothers, Paul and Peter, was raised in New York City. Upon graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1959, he served with the Army National Guard. Bob and Cindy were married on January 3rd 1965 in Mount Vernon, NY and later moved to Carmel, NY in 1970. He served with the Mount Vernon Police Department from 1965-1985 and was then a letter carrier for The New Milford Post Office from 1985-2007. His love and dedication to the Masonic Lodge led him to be a two time Master Mason, both in 1977 and 1978. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, tending to his precious dogs, sailing his boat, attending classic car shows, bottling his homemade wine and singing along to his favorite music, including Johnny Cash and the Grand Ole Opry. He loved his family unconditionally and will be sorely missed. Visitation will be held at 2-4 & 7-9 Pm on Sunday July 31,2022 at Balsamo-Cordovano Funeral Home in Carmel, NY 845-BAL-2144. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 Am on Monday August 1,2022 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Pawling, NY. Followed by a Private Cremation.
