Obituary for Elizabeth F. Leone

Elizabeth F. Leone, 91, of Mt. Vernon NY passed away Friday, May 14, peacefully in her home. Elizabeth was born on June 15, 1929 to Antonio Philip and Antoinette Nastasi. She had 7 siblings – Frank (Laura), Joseph (Nancy) and Philip (Modie) Nastasi, Rosemarie (Ralph) Russo, Annie (Tom) Butler, Frances (Peter) Gisondi and Gloria (Tony) Battaglia. She was married to Paul Leone of Mt. Vernon and had 4 children – Joseph (Debra), Linda Coschigano, Debra (Richard) Campagnola and Paula (Daniel Rego). She had 7 grandchildren – Keri (David) Hartley, Jason Coschigano, Ashley (Christopher) Cofresi, Joanna Leone, Nicholas, Deanna and Richie Campagnola. She also had 4 great grandchildren – Presleigh and Savannah Hartley (Keri & David) and Ryan and Aubrey Cofresi (Ashley & Christopher). Elizabeth worked as a director of housekeeping at New Rochelle Nursing Home and often talked about it fondly. Elizabeth was a loving mother and grandmother. She always brought a sense of lightheartedness wherever she went. She had a contagious sense of humor and always knew how to make anyone laugh. We will always remember her dressed to the nines in her animal prints, adorned with her jewelry and sipping her lady drinks while cracking a joke.
