Obituary for Catherine H. Ambrosini
CATHERINE H. AMBROSINI
Sadly, Catherine died on January 22, 2021. She was born in the Bronx to the late Anna Porcelli and Frank Brescia. Cathy was a proud and longtime resident of City Island. She was married to the late Anthony “Ambro" Ambrosini.
Catherine is survived by her loving daughter, Donna, and her daughter’s fiancé, Bentley. She is also survived by her sister, Thomasina Salzarulo (Brescia).
Unfortunately, Cathy lost her eyesight to diabetes in the ‘90s. Nevertheless, she loved and continued to work in the Empire State Building at the Empire Diamond Corporation until she was 80 years old. Strong and determined, she worked there for over 50 years.
There will be no wake for Catherine due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the concern for her family members. A funeral mass is scheduled for 11am on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. The mass will be held at St. Mary Star of The Sea Church on City Island Avenue. Interment will follow at the Pelham Cemetery in City Island.
