Obituary for Patricia Riccardi (Patricia Battista)
Patricia Ann Riccardi passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 11, 2020. She was 78 years old.
Patricia was born on November 24, 1941 in Port Chester, New York to Rowland Battista and Jenny LaDore. She is predeceased by her sister Barbara Zunker.
Her family later moved to Harrison, New York where she met her high school sweetheart, Mario Frank Riccardi, Jr.
Patricia and Mario were married on September 9, 1961. They had three children together, Mario Riccardi III, Rowland Riccardi and Stacey Riccardi.
Sadly, on June 6, 1997, Patricia lost her husband Mario to a painful battle with pancreatic cancer. After his passing Patricia never remarried. She continued to miss him dearly throughout the years. She filled the void he left in her life with the joy her children and grandchildren brought her.
Patricia was a proud and loving grandmother to six grandchildren, Amy Riccardi, Jennifer Riccardi, Mario Riccardi IV, Ryan Riccardi, Aidan Riccardi and Ethan Riccardi and a great grandmother to her great grandson Michael Burke. Patricia adored her grandchildren and great grandson and cherished spending time with each of them. She especially treasured spending time with them at the Jersey Shore as well as taking them into the city to see Broadway shows.
One of the other things that also brought Patricia happiness besides her deep love for her family was shopping. She had an incredible wardrobe of shoes and was always ready to show them off.
Patricia Ann Riccardi was a loving, caring, compassionate and generous woman, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her love and commitment to her family was endless.
Patricia will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her and loving her and her memory will be carried in their hearts forever.
If love could have saved her, she would have lived forever.
