I am deeply saddened by the news of Joe's passing. I worked with Joe for the past 8 years at UI and saw him every day. He loved to tell stories, talk finances, was humble, and had a heart of gold. There was a childlike quality in his laughter - and he laughed at everything - which is what I will miss the most. He would go out of his way to help anyone. My heartfelt prayers go to Joe's family and friends. He was one of a kind!!
