Obituary for Denis John Daly
Denis John Daly formerly of Harrison, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. Survived by his former wife Christine and their two daughters Deirdre Daly Macnamara and husband Dan of New Orleans, Louisiana and Colleen Anne Daly of New York City. He is also survived by two brothers Seamus and David Daly, cherished grandchildren Brenna, Kieran and Maeve Macnamara and 12 nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his parents Daniel and Mary Daly and his siblings Ann, Joe, Donie, Liza and Pauline.
A loving father and grandfather, known for his humility and steadfast kindness, Denis will be remembered as a master craftsman, an accomplished hurler and marathon runner with a great love for the outdoors.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Gregory the Great in Harrison, NY on Saturday, May 18th at 11:00 AM. Internment at a later date in Ireland in St. Colman’s Cemetery, Cloyne.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) or Calvary Hospital (calivaryhospital.org).
