Obituary for Gilda "Jill" Ciraldo

Jill Ciraldo of Port Chester NY passed away peacefully the morning of February 22. Jill will be remembered for her inner and physical beauty. She personified elegance, intelligence and class…always making those around her feel welcomed and loved. As a demonstration of her tremendous heart and charitable nature, Jill was intensely involved as a co-founder of Friends of the Inner City Scholarship Fund. Jill was also ordained as a Dame of Malta, another charitable platform from which she performed many acts of kindness, including administering communion to cancer patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering once a week for several years.
Professionally, Jill created the position of public relations and advertising manager for Harry Winston…where she spent 34 years orchestrating dynamic branding successes for Mr. Winston. A constant outcry by Mr. Winston, “…Where’s Jill…!?” could be heard on a daily basis. Her career as an executive manager blazed a trail for women in business and remains an inspiration to her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Jill is survived by her son Michael and his wife Brook, daughter in-law Julieanne Ciraldo and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Armand Ciraldo and a son John Ciraldo. The family receive friends at the Harrison Funeral Home 329 Halstead Avenue Harrison, NY. Sunday March 3, 2019 from 3-7 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday March 4, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Paul’s R. C. Church 84 Sherwood Ave. Greenwich, CT. Entombment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Rye Brook, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org
