Obituary for Emil Dominick Roscia

Emil Dominick Roscia
Emil Dominick Roscia entered eternal rest on August 8, 2018. He was 74 years old. Emil was born October 29, 1943 to Alexander “Ginger” Roscia and Lena Roscia in White Plains, New York. Emil grew up in Mamaroneck, New York with a strong work ethic that he learned from his father, who worked at Rye Playland for 53 years, and his mother, who was a homemaker and employee of The Daily Times. Emil met his love, Veronica, when he was 20 years old, and they were married on May 13, 1967. Emil took great pride in his work, especially as a Sanitation Driver for the Village of Pelham Manor, New York, a job he held for 25 years. Emil loved spending time with his wife and daughter, Emily, at their home in Harrison, New York, and especially loved working in his beautiful flower garden. Emil battled Parkinson’s Disease for many years. Despite his difficulties, Emil always had a smile for the wonderful people who cared for him. He was extremely happy to celebrate 50 years of marriage with Veronica in May 2017. Emil is survived by his beloved wife, Veronica, daughter, Emily (Anthony), brother Dennis, and step-grandchildren, Mario Calogero and Rosetta Calogero, nephew David Emil and niece Maria Veronica.
In Lieu of flowers, the Roscia family requests donations be made in Emil's honor to the Michael J. Fox Foundation @ michaeljfox.org.
