Obituary for Robert Edward Coffrin

Robert E. Coffrin, Age 72, a resident of Fairfield and Westchester county passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018, surrounded by his loving family at Greenwich Hospital.
He was born on April 10, 1946 in Port Chester, NY to Wendell and Margaret (Pat) Coffrin. He was the eldest of three children: Wayne (Pre-Deceased) and Wendy. He was a student of Rye High School prior to serving his country in the Vietnam War as an Army Quarter Master stationed in Cam Ranh Bay.
After being honorably discharged from Vietnam, he was employed for a short time at Avon Cosmetics in Rye, NY. Once again he felt the need to serve his country and became a public servant as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. He retired with 32 years of service, but the civil servant in him was not done yet. He then worked at Greenwich Hospital for 12 years delivering mail. He was known throughout the hospital as "Bob the Mailman" and was loved by all departments.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Arlene (Mangini) Coffrin, daughter: Debbie Smith (John), son: Kevin Coffrin (Karen) and grandson: Nick. Nick called him Poppie & Bob considered him his little buddy.
Friends and Family may call on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Harrison Funeral Home, Harrison, NY from 4-8pm.
Internment with Military Honors will be at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye, NY. Family and Friends should arrive at the funeral home by 10:00 am on July 14, 2018.
