Condolences

Condolence From: Joseph
Condolence: Dear Mrs Knox and Clan,

Mr. Knox was a great example of a fine Catholic gentleman who honored God and you his beloved family with great dignity. I always enjoyed my little visits with him at family events. I will cherish the memories I have of him. This great man remains in my prayers. I send you my heartfelt condolences for your loss.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you, save souls.

Condolence From: Gregg Knox
Condolence:
From our son Gregg:

I need distraction to help me numb this all consuming pain
Isn't it funny how such happy memories can sting like acid rain

The bridge which replaced the wishing well
Now somehow seems so droll
It made a fair substitute
When years finally took their toll

But there is no bridge to span the gap
Between my Pop and me
For wishing wells only work in dreams
Not in this stark reality

I dreamed last night I cast a coin
Into that wishing well
And was suddenly transported from
This lonely living hell

I made my wish and traveled back
To June of '72
And standing by that well with Pop
It all became as new

I held his hand and I looked up
into his eyes so blue
"Brady, make a wish" he said
Then my coin I threw

I wished that he could never die
And that nothing could ever change
I woke with tears on my smiling face
Dreams can be so strange

There are no magic wells or bridges to bring my Pop to me
None but those he left for us in our treasured memories...
We will storm heavens with our prayers for you Pop.
