George Voetsch Jr.
George B. Voetsch Jr. Capt. USAF ret., March 17, 1942 - April 29, 2017 surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Father, grandfather, husband, George Voetsch is survived by his two sons David (Alison), Gregory (Regina) and his precious granddaughter Aubrey Voetsch and former wife Anita. He is also survived by his three sisters, Dorothy Deitelbaum, Ellen Perry, Ann Rudy, brother John Voetsch along with many nieces and nephews. George is a lifelong resident of Harrison, he graduated from Manhattan College and received his Masters in Business from George Washington University. After college he entered the United States Air Force and rose to the rank of Captain. He worked for Goodbody Brokerage Firm, as a financial advisor and then worked as an auditor for the NYSE. He left the NYSE and was the founder of Medi-Ray TM, Inc. Upon leaving Medi-Ray TM he went to work for the County of Westchester as the director of trust and grants in the Department of Finance and senior accountant in the Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation. He retired as the Director of Marketing for Playland Park, Rye, NY.
He was deeply spiritual and always provided sage advice to others. He cared and looked out for his family and friends. A strong man who showed courage, a truly inspirational person who amazed his doctors and family members with his positive mental attitude. He never complained or felt sorry for himself because of his positive outlook. He really was a lover of life and told us to always live each day to the fullest and always be appreciative. He was a good friend to many and will be greatly missed.
