Obituary for Nancy C. Kohlasch-DeFonce (Volpe)

Nancy C.  Kohlasch-DeFonce (Volpe)
Nancy Kohlasch DeFonce (Volpe) died October 25, 2016 with her family by her side at Greenwich Hospital.

On Thursday, October 27th, 2016 services will be held at Harrison Funeral Home from 4pm to 8pm and a mass/funeral will be held at St. Gregory’s Church in Harrison at 10am.

She was born on October 5th, 1952 in White Plains, NY to Alfred and Vera Volpe. Her father was an extraordinary carpenter and maintenance man for Harrison High School and her mother was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother and later on got into the hairdressing business just like her daughter Nancy.

Nancy graduated Harrison High School in 1970 while also taking beautician classes. She went on to become an amazing hairdresser. She owned her own salon in Harrison, NY called Shear Pleasure for 20 years.

Nancy was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother! She was a loving, caring, funny, and strong willed person to be around. She loved life and loved her family even more.

Her husband, James DeFonce, has been an incredible inspiration to her and her children for the past 28+ years.

Nancy is survived by her husband, James DeFonce, her mother, Vera Volpe, her children, Stephanie Frawley and Pete Kohlasch, her siblings, Joseph Volpe, Brenda Toohey, Alfred Volpe and Barbara McIver, and her beloved grandchildren, Kieran and Caimin Frawley.
