Rita Theresa Egan Casey
August 14th, 1947 – August 22, 2015

Carmel, NY – Rita T. Casey 68 a long time resident of Carmel, NY passed into heaven on August 22, 2015. Rita was a wonderful loving and engaging woman who loved living life. She had an adventurous spirit and always enjoyed travelling and meeting new people. Rita was a proud girl from Briggs Avenue in the
Bronx who was the youngest of the four Egan sisters. She is survived by her always loving sister Dorothy.
Rita was a loving mother to Dennis, Michael daughter in law Kristen and a loving grandmother to her five grandchildren Michael Jr., Laura, Dennis Jr., Shawn and Mackenzie.
Rita is survived by her loving partner Fred Krause also of Carmel, NY. Fred and Rita were inseparable who enjoyed each other’s company immensely. They would listen to music, sing, dance and reminisce about the good old days. They enjoyed their mornings on the deck having coffee, good conversation and watching all the birds.
Rita worked most of her life and enjoyed many of the jobs she had especially when she worked at the Westchester county airport and she got to meet Bob Hope. Most recently she worked for Putnam Independent Living Services in Brewster, NY otherwise known as PILS. Her co-workers were like family and she loved going to work.
In her final days of battling Breast cancer Rita was surrounded by many close family and friends and she had stated that she was overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and affection. Rest in peace Rita.
